Welcome to DLP 2015!

January's Theme:  The blank page and how to face it.

Week 1: Book paper

This week's prompt: Be Your Own Goalkeeper!

My approach: My goal for this year is to use my One Little Word in a real and intentional way.

Book paper and cool napkins are my background paper. I am applying it with gel medium.

Overlapping and hanging off the page ready for trimming when the medium is dry.  A 3" strip on the side is prepared for a planner column.

I chose 4 colors - violet, turquoise, yellow and lime.

Splotches of color start the first level.

Pink, white and yellow are applied with a brayer.

White pens are used to doodle a floral motif. My center "tear" is created with another layer of book paper.

My One Little Word is "redefine". I want to document it and assign it importance in my start to the new year.

Thin washi tape is used to designate the days of the week in my planner section.

Adding a heart sent from a special friend makes the page even more meaningful.
