Week 20: Use a rubber stamp in a new way.
This challenge was a well...challenge. There were 2 attempts before this one that just didn't feel right. When I decided that I wanted to express gratitude to my husband for all that he has done lately to support and encourage me in this project that is growing far larger than anyone could have ever guessed, it came together quite easily.
The gear stamp was perfect to represent my mechanical engineer husband. That and a favorite photo was an easy start.
I started with a watercolor wash in an oval shape knowing I wanted my rubber stamp to create an oval border.
I stamped a border rotating my stamp and often stamping off the page to create an oval shape. This made a nice area for a photo and journaling.
