Documented Life Project: Week 32 (8/2)

Week 32: Use a fortune on your page

I love Asian food so looking for a fortune was as hard as opening my wallet where I had a collection from which to choose.

I started with a beautiful piece of under paper made with both mono printing and a Gelli plate.  This was one of those times that I looked at my under paper and thought I am not sure I could paint this. The random way this happened and came together so beautifully is beyond my artistic abilities.

I used a hand carved stamp (I use this tool and this carving material) which I stamped in lightly in green for just a shadow effect that I then doodled using the Tul Ultra-Fine marker and a Uniball Signo White pen. My inkpad is from the $1.50 bin at Michael's craft store.

I added my fortune to one of Rae Missigman's new Collection cards Pack 2. Aren't they yummy? She gave them to me when I was over at her beautiful house filming together.  Please be watching for a new class where Rae and I teach two of our favorite topics! We had a great time together.

I added a black cardstock mat to the card for contrast and journaled in white pen to add texture. Added a wonky frame as always just so you would know it was mine...

I taped it into my planner and called is one of my favorite challenges - DONE.
