Art Challenge: Borders
Journal Prompt: "Borderline: feels like I'm going to lose my mind.
I love borders and was ready for a change of pace. Something different and it speaks to the FL weather which has been gray, overcast, cloudy, damp, rainy, and depressing. If you are dealing with snow up to your roof line, then I know you have no sympathy for me and trust me, I understand. But this girl needs a fantasy day.
I started with a wash of sunshine yellow. Now pattern-
I grabbed a stencil, white paint and a make-up wedge pouncing the color on.
I added a gelli-plated hand drawn double layered border that I stitched. Then I drew the fantasy garden and visitors that I wanted to see out my window (using Prismacolor colored pencils).
I added more whimsy with a garland of circles stitched together. More of my resolution to add stitching to my pages. It is a start but I need more (she said greedily).
So calling it different and DONE.
