My life has been a tapestry...

November Theme: Stencils, Stamps & Masks
Nov. 14 - Use a hand carved stamp

Prompt: Tapestries

My life has been a tapestry of rich and royal hue,
An everlasting vision of the ever-changing view
A wondrous woven magic in bits of blue and gold
A tapestry to feel and see, impossible to hold

Carole King

This is a stamp that I carved during the Doodle & Carve workshop withmyself and Rae Missigman  It's a beginner's guide to doodling and then carving your stamp quickly and easily.  This stamp is well loved and well used as you can see.  I love the design as a repeating border.

I grabbed a deep blue ink and drew some lines on my page to create a tapestry of repeating patters using this one little stamp.

Yeah, one stamp! Carved in about 5 minutes. I vote yes to big impact!

I grabbed my Prismacolor colored pencils and started coloring.

Such fun!

It all started with one little stamp.
